Roots

Migrations. Transitions. Sacred Thresholds.

What brought you here?

Every journey leaves a mark. We are a collection of coordinates, memories, and bloodlines. This space is a sanctuary for the unbroken threads that connect us across time. Come as you are. Leave what you must. Witness what stays.

We have moved through lands, through loss, through love. Where every transition is honored. Every transformation, witnessed. Your journey is the altar.

SCROLL

A Space to Land

This is more than just a gathering. It’s a place to pause, reflect, and make sense of the journey that brought us here.

Roots is a community space dedicated to the real-life shifts, moves, and turning points that shape our lives in this city. It’s where we acknowledge the actual stories of crossing borders, finding our footing, and navigating love, loss, and change.

Whether your family arrived generations ago or you are newly rooted here, your passage is honored. This altar holds space for the fragments of who we were, who we are, and who we are becoming.

Woven Stories

More than just an art display, this space is built to hold and celebrate the diverse paths that lead us here.

Through different art forms, yarn paintings, colorful pigments, woven elements, and symbolisms, we create a space where memory becomes homeland.

You are invited to witness the unbroken threads that connect us across borders, generations, and time. To recognize the crossings that carried us here and honor the becoming that awaits.

This Way To The Future

Time Capsule

As part of this event, we invite you to leave something behind for the future.

Bring a memory. A name. A hope. A loss. A word you haven’t said out loud yet. Write it down. Drop it in the collection box. It will be held with care. Anonymous if you want.

Keep it pocket sized, dry and strictly non-perishable. Let’s not give the future anything to complain about.
